Scholar-Athlete Award
About
Only seniors at Aiea, Pearl City, and Waipahu high schools are eligible for this award.
$500 award to one male and $500 award to one female.
Criteria
Award recipients will be selected based on these criteria:

senior class standing;
-
excelled in at least one sport during the school year;
-
passing grades in all core courses and a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale); and
-
leadership qualities and character in extracurricular or community activities.
Application Process
Applicants must submit:
-
a completed application;
-
an official high school transcript through the most current date available; and
-
a brief letter of recommendation from a non-family member to a high school counselor or scholarship committee.
The school will forward the nominations of no more than three top males and females to the Hannemann Scholar-Athlete Award Committee. The committee will select the recipients from among the nominations provided.
