Mayor Files Nomination Papers

HONOLULU – Surrounded by a group of supporters, Mufi Hannemann filed
nomination papers Tuesday with the Office of the City Clerk for
re-election as Mayor of the City and County of Honolulu. Dozens of
supporters gathered outside the Mission Memorial Auditorium on the
grounds of the Frank F. Fasi Civic Center to cheer on the Mayor's
re-election campaign. Mayor Hannemann announced to supporters, "Four
years ago, in 2004, we ran on a resume and a list of promises. This
time around, in 2008, we are running on a record of accomplishments,
and we are looking forward to taking that record to the voters of
Honolulu."
