Dear Friend,

As you know, next year we will elect a new governor for the state of Hawai`i.  This will arguably be one of the most important elections of our time, as the very essence of our beloved home is stressed by economic, social, environmental and cultural challenges of tremendous proportion.

We can and will rise to these challenges.

E Ho`omua Hannemann, an exploratory committee supporting a 2010 gubernatorial bid by Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann, is engaging in conversations with residents throughout Hawai`i and assessing the level of support for a Hannemann candidacy.

Formation of the exploratory committee enables Mufi to keep his focus squarely on his work as mayor of the City and County of Honolulu.

Over the next several months, E Ho`omua Hannemann will be fundraising and friend-raising statewide and believe their efforts will demonstrate the breadth and depth of support for Hannemann’s candidacy.  

If you want to be a part of this special movement, there are various ways you can help.  First, you can encourage Mufi to run for Governor by signing our online petition.  Also, you can sign up to volunteer for our grassroots organization.  

Finally, you can make a small donation of $50, $25, $10, or $5 or whatever you can to let Mufi know you would support his candidacy to be the next Governor of Hawai`i.
